COVID-19 Test Site Now Open At Disney World

A brand new COVID-19 testing site at Walt Disney World opens to the public Friday.

Disney cast members, their families and Florida residents can all get tested at the drive-thru site which is run by the state.

The site had a "soft-opening" Thursday and now will feature a dedicated line for Disney employees.

This week, the Actors' Equity Association, a union representing hundreds of people who work as entertainers at Disney's parks, released a statement that it was glad testing will be available on-site.

But Disney officials released a statement that "any suggestion that this has been done as a result of anyone unione is unfounded."

The company says they are offering the location "to help with community testing."

Tests are free by appointment and the stie is in the parking lot at the Maingate complex, just off Highway 192 in Kissimmee.

Appointments can be made for residents at DoINeedACOVID19Test.com and for cast members and their relatives at DisneyCOVID19Test.com.
