Marlins First Home Game Tonight

Three weeks to the day after they opened their 60-game coronavirus shortened season, the Marlins are finally home.

It won't be like an other home opener... not only has it taken 12 games and 23 days, but Marlins Park will be empty.

Manager Don Mattingly is OK with that.

The Fish's season came to a screeching halt after their three-game opening series in Philadelphia.

That's when at least 18 players were diagnosed with the coronavirus.

Only 13 players on the opening day roster remain active.

The 8-4 Marlins put their first place in NL East on the line when they battle second place Atlanta Braves.

Tonight's game against the Braves is also the debut of a reconfigured Marlins Park with shortened outfield and artificial turf replacing grass.
