School District Allows High School's Football Season To Continue

After a protest from players, a South Florida high school's football season is back on.

Paul Saget from Palm Beach Central's varsity team was among those demonstrating Thursday after the program was put on hold.

"I'm relying on this. If I don't play football I might not be able to go to college. I'm depending on this scholarship. I don't know what I will do without it."

Then Thursday night, the school district announced the last player who had been in quaranting due to coronavirus concerns was cleared by Department of Health officials. Several players had contracted the virus.

The team starts practicing again next week.

It's believed at least 15 players contracted COVID-19 when they were told to wait inside a bus during a rain delay on Halloween.
