A Palm Beach County student faces possible criminal charges after allegedly bringing a gun to school.
The school district says the student was caught in possession of the weapon at Santaluces High near Lantana on Monday.
Police were able to safely remove the gun and the student was taken to the County Detention Center.
The principal says it appears to be an isolated incident, but police are still investigating.
There is no indication of any threat to students, staff or to the school.
The student will be disciplined by the district.
