More COVID Vaccine Appointments At Publix, Teachers Of All Ages Welcome

Publix opens its portal for more coronavirus vaccine appointments Friday at 7 a.m., and the company says it will be making the vaccine available to Florida teachers, school employees and other child care workers of all ages.

That announcement came on the heels of ones from CVS and other pharmacies offering the vaccine in Florida that they will follow the Biden administration guidelines.

Gov. DeSants says he prefers that the coronavirus vaccine be available first to teachers ages 50 and older, but his hands are tied since Publix, CVS and other pharmacy chains get their supplies from the federal government.

The supermarket chain is offering the shots at all 730 of its pharmacies in Florida.
