Former FSU Star Wide Receiver Charged With Murder In Palm Beach County

A former FSU football star faces murder charges in connection to a shooting in Palm Beach County.

25-year old Travis Rudolph, a graduate of Cardinal Newman High School, made headlines in 2016 when he befriended a boy with autism during lunch at a Tallahassee middle school.

Five years later, Rudolph is behind bars for shooting at four people.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call of shots fired near the intersection of Northlake Boulevard and U.S. 1 in Lake Park just past midnight Wednesday morning and discovered a person with gunshot wounds.

They later found a second man who had been shot to death in West Palm Beach.

Rudolph, a former wide receiver who now lives in Lake Park, will face a judge on Thursday.

His father was killed at an adult entertainment establishment in 2017.

55-year old Darryl Rudolph was struck by a bullet from a rifle that discharged while it was being moved in an adjacent room at Sugar Daddy's Adult Cabaret in West Palm Beach.

Paul Senat later pleaded guilty to culpable negligence in that case.
