Miami-Dade Leaders Speak Out On Gun Violence On National Day Of Prayer

Gun violence under the microscope in Miami-Dade on this National Day of Prayer. Police data shows less than 1-percent of the population is causing more than 70-percent of the violence in Miami-Dade which logged 270 homicide cases last year alone. This year is not looking much better they're still trying to solve the deadly shooting of a 3-year-old at his birthday party. Commissioner Jose Pepe Diaz says they're creating the Anti-Gun Violence and Prosperity Initiatives Trust--a dedicated resource of 90-million-dollars over 19 years to make the streets safer. The deal is part of the new Miami Heat Arena Naming Rights Agreement with the cryptocurrency exchange FTX.
