Florida Congressman Pushes To Lower Prescription Drug Prices

A Florida Congressman is committed to lowering prescription drug prices for millions of Floridians. Representative Darren Soto of Orlando is cosponsoring the recently reintroduced the
"Lower Drug Costs Now Act" allowing negotiated drug prices in Medicare and extending those deals to people with private insurance. He says the bill would cap out-of-pocket costs for seniors at 2-thousand-dollars, ensuring Americans no longer pay 3-to-4 times more for medications than people in other countries. He wants to crack down on drug companies benefiting from tax breaks while raising prices on hundreds of prescriptions.
