Cuban activists rallying tonight at the Memorial Cubano at Tamiami Park in solidarity with their relatives and friends who have been taking to the streets in unprecedented numbers on the communist island. Sebastian Arcos, assistant director of the Cuban Research Institute at Florida International University, says this hasn't happened since 1959. He says protesters think the government is incompetent and they're calling on President Miguel Díaz-Canel to step down. They're upset about economic conditions, restrictions on civil liberties and the COVID-19 response. The Biden administration says it is assessing how it can directly help Cubans in need.
