Lightning Shut Out Calgary For Seventh Straight Win

The Tampa Bay Lightning (34-20-4) defeated the Calgary Flames (28-22-8) 3-0 on Thursday night at Amalie Arena. It was the seventh win in a row for Tampa Bay.

Nikita Kucherov got the scoring started with a power play goal in the first, and 1-0 would be the score heading into the third period. In the third, Erik Cernak scored 3:51 into the frame to make it 2-0. Brandon Hagel had an empty-netter to make it 3-0.

Andrei Vasilevskiy made 27 saves in net to secure the shutout win. In addition to seven straight wins, Tampa Bay has also won the first three games coming back from the Four Nations Tournament break

The Lightning now go on the road for the next two, heading first to Washington to play the Capitals on Saturday. Puck drop on Saturday afternoon is scheduled for 12:30 PM.
