Governor Ron DeSantis' latest legislation push is going to the dogs. The Governor is at Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Loxahatchee announcing new legislation for ethical dog breeding. He wants to license breeders, create a hotline to report abuse, hold vets accountable for an accurate bill of health, mandate pet stores offer space for shelter dogs and increase penalties for anyone abusing animals in front of children. He says this law will hold breeders accountable and create a layer of transparency we don't have in our state.
