  • Man Is Arrested for Calling the Cops 22 Times Just to Burp:People around the world seem to be confused as to what exactly 9-1-1 calls are supposed to be about.More often than not, it's supposed to be used for emergencies. However, some people's definition of emergency differs from what the norm is. For instance, police in the U.K. recently started getting phone calls from some guy who wouldn't say anything but he just kept burping at them on the phone. After his third call, they decided to release some of the audio. Probably to shame him, and they figured he might stop. But then the audio went viral and he actually does have some skills in the belching department. So apparently it just egged him on. After that, he called back and did it another 19 times in one day. They tracked him down and arrested him for it on Tuesday. He's facing charges for creating a public nuisance.
  • Guy Busted With 1,130 Marijuana Plants Says They Were "Peppermint":As far ascreative excuses go, this guy really dug deep to come up with this one.Seems cops in Madrid, Spain pulled over a 34-year-old guy over the weekend and they happened to notice he had a ton of marijuana plants in his van. So when the police noticed what he was transporting the guy jumped in and gave them a great excuse. He said they weren't marijuana plants, they were "peppermint." There were a total of 1,130 plants in the van plus about $650 in cash and a contract for a boat. The cops obviously didn't fall for the peppermint excuse so the guy was arrested under Spain's drug laws.
