UPDATE: Hazmat Scare Over At Four Season Surfside

Update: 8/13 2:29p

Things are getting back to normal at Surfside's Four Seasons Hotel after a hazmat scare caused the building to be evacuated.

More than a dozen Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews rushed to the hotel on Collins Avenue and 90th Street just before 10:00 a.m. after getting reports of a strong chemical smell coming from a loading dock.

A hazmat team was called in to test the air for dangerous chemicals. Chief Ralph Baena says after two hours, the meters were not registering anything.

Everyone was allowed to return.

Four people were treated on the scene for inhalation.
