Threatening Message At Palm Beach Central High Has More Officers On Campus

School Threat - West Palm Beach

Security is beefed up at Palm Beach Central High School after reports of a threatening message being found on a bathroom stall.

The principal of the Wellington school said in a recorded call to parents Sunday evening that the decision to have extra school resource officers on campus Monday was made "out of an abundance of caution."

Police are investigating the incident and the principal said that whomever wrote the threat could face criminal charges and disciplinary action at school.

The contents of the message are unknown.

Anyone with information on this or any other school threats are urged to report it to school administrators or law enforcement.

Students, staff and parents can do that through the StudentProtect app from the Palm Beach County School District and the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
