Brightline is increasing its South Florida fares by 251% next month.
Apparently, the high-speed rail service is unable to accommodate many of its Orlando passengers.
So, Brightline is eliminating a popular $10-per-ride monthly pass program for South Florida commuters and has already begun reducing the number of seats available for purchase on short trips between Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
The high-speed passenger train service is offering a special deal of 40 one-way tickets to all stations between West Palm Beach and Miami for just $400. However, starting June 1st, the price for the same 40 tickets will increase to $1400.
Fares from Miami to Orlando International Airport are capped for now.
Brightline is a private company and, ther
