Construction is underway on the new Jupiter Fire Rescue Department station which will be located at Piatt Place, facing the Intracoastal along U.S. One.
It will serve Jupiter residents, along with two other fire stations.
The Town Council voted last year to end its 40-year agreement with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue in favor of developing its own Fire Rescue Department.
Some community groups had been fighting to stop the plan, but a judge earlier this month ruled that a proposed ballot question that could have blocked the development violates home rule.
The Jupiter Fire Rescue Department plans to begin operations in October of 2026.
