Florida Tree Trimmer Fatally Pulled Into Wood Chipper

Ocean Ridge, FL - A tragic accident resulted in the death of a tree trimming service employee who was pulled head first into a wood chipper.

On Tuesday morning, at approximately 9:30 a.m., police responded to an emergency at Ocean Ridge Town Hall.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a worker had been fatally injured after being pulled head-first into a wood chipper.

The victim was part of a contracted team hired to trim trees around the town hall and police station.

According to reports, the individual was working alone at the time of the incident.

Other crew members witnessed the accident and immediately responded, as did town staff and officers.

The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of family members in Mexico.

No other injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was notified and responded to the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatality.

Town officials have arranged for grief counseling services to support both town employees and the vendor's staff during this difficult time.
