FLORIDA - As the summer heat continues across Florida, a recent study has determined that Neapolitan ice cream is the most popular flavor in the state.
The data, compiled by Fruity Kings and reported by NBC Miami, analyzed search trends from Google Keyword Planner for ice cream flavors during the months of July 2024 and 2025.
The findings showed that Neapolitan received an average of 5,347 monthly searches in Florida, making it the top choice for locals looking for a cool treat.
The second most searched flavor was mango, with 4,885 monthly searches, followed by vanilla, which had 4,663 searches.
These results suggest a clear preference for traditional and fruity ice cream flavors among Floridians during the summer months.
On a national level, Neapolitan also ranked as the most searched ice cream flavor with a total of 79,985 monthly searches across the United States.
The flavor topped the charts in 20 states.
Along with Neapolitan, other popular flavors in the U.S. included vanilla and mango, which also had strong regional followings.
Fruity Kings' spokesperson commented on the overall trends, noting that while Neapolitan and vanilla are consistently popular across the country, regional specialties like Superman ice cream in the Midwest and Ube in Hawaii have a strong local following.
