Florida - A new study identifies the U.S. cities with the best options for coffee lovers based on availability, quality, and affordability.
WalletHub analyzed the 100 largest U.S. cities, ranking them on factors including the number of coffee shops and cafes, average coffee prices, cafe ratings, and the presence of coffee and tea manufacturers.
Cities were scored on a scale of 0 to 100, with higher scores reflecting better coffee access and quality.
Portland, Oregon, earned the top spot for its large number of affordable coffee shops, all rated highly by customers, and the highest number of coffee and tea manufacturers per capita in the country.
Orlando, Florida, ranked second, with numerous highly rated cafes and the most donut shops per capita, providing options for pairing coffee with a sweet snack.
Long Beach, California, took third place, followed by Miami, Florida, and Seattle, Washington, home of Starbucks.
Other cities in the top 25 include Tampa, San Francisco, Austin, Oakland, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Denver, Sacramento, Honolulu, San Diego, Boston, Cincinnati, Irvine, Houston, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
The study reflects both the density and quality of coffee-related amenities, offering a guide for residents and visitors to find highly rated coffee experiences.
Factors such as affordability, cafe ratings, and availability of coffee manufacturers were key to the rankings.
