FOX Sports reporter Erin Andrews and host Charissa Thompson praised pop superstar Taylor Swift's "impact" on young women becoming NFL fans during a special appearance on the New Heights podcast hosted by Swift's fiancée, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother, retired former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, released on Monday (November 24).

Andrews, 47, and Thompson, 43, who host the Calm Down podcast, made their New Heights debut during the crossover episode and credited their fathers for sparking their love of football and Swift for the recent spike in the NFL's popularity among a young female demographic since she began her relationship with Kelce in 2023.

“Erin and I have talked about it with women and young viewership, like, Taylor’s impact cannot be overlooked,” Thompson said. “Those little girls that maybe didn’t have an interest in football and then sit down because it’s her. The commercials and the different little videos that you see, now all of a sudden the dads have a bond with their daughter over her is so special.”

“Again, as two women who have made a career out of this because of their dads to have those moments, like, who knows what kind of impact that will have later on in their lives in a myriad of different ways. But it was really special to see," she added.

Travis thanked Thompson and Andrews for praising Swift and Jason, a father of four young girls, said "one of the coolest things" was "hearing from dads or hearing from daughters" about his future sister-in-law being the reason for their shared football interest.

Kelce famously revealed that he attempted to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number when he attended her concert at Arrowhead Stadium prior to their relationship in 2023. Swift later said that Kelce "very adorably put me on blast" when he acknowledged the situation on his podcast, which she said "was metal as hell" while being featured as Time Magazine's 'Person of the Year' in December 2023.
