160 Arrested in Week-Long Human Trafficking Sting

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd is out with more details of a human trafficking sting operation that led to the arrests of 160 people in just one week, including the now-former Deputy Police Chief in Cartersville, Georgia.

The sheriff says he's happy to find out that only 16 of those arrested in what he calls "Fall Haul 2" are from Polk County. "I think the people of Polk County are about to get the message," Judd said in a mid-morning news conference. "that if you come here and violate the law, we're going to put you in jail, and Brian Haas and his prosecutors are going to prosecute you."

Judd says while the police work was a success--and he's promising more--his real goal is to identify the *victims* of human trafficking, and help them get the help they need.
