The jury in the murder-for-hire trial of Miami oral surgeon, Charlie Adelson, is listening to closing arguments this morning and is expected to begin deliberating his fate soon.

Adelson is charged with first degree murder, and criminal conspiracy in the death of his sister's ex-husband, Dan Markel.

Adelson is accused of hiring hit men to kill his former brother-in-law and FSU professor in 2014.

Markel was shot in his Tallahassee garage over a custody dispute between Markel and Adelsonā€™s sister Wendi, according to the prosecutor.

The jury listened to witness testimony from the hitmen already convicted of killing Markel, Luis Rivera, Sigfredo Garcia and his and go-between Katherine Magbanua.

Magbanua, Adelsonā€™s and Garcia's ex-girlfriend turned down immunity and initially denied any involvement in the hit.

She changed her story last year after being found guilty of murder and was sentenced to life in prison.
