Man Charged After Indecent Exposure and Assault On Officer in Key West

Key West, FL - A Kansas man was arrested on charges of indecent exposure and alleged battery on a police officer following a confrontation with police outside of a Key West bar.

Authorities say 28-year-old Trey Jacob Dulaney, a member of the U.S. Navy, was booked into jail by the Key West Police Department during the early hours of Thursday morning.

The arrest came after staff at Rick’s Bar on Duval Street reported Dulaney's disruptive behavior, prompting police intervention.

According to authorities, Dulaney's attempt to gain entry into nearby Sloppy Joe’s Bar was denied, causing Dulaney to pull down his pants and engage in lewd conduct, including public masturbation.

Eyewitnesses at Sloppy Joe’s contacted law enforcement, and responding officers located Dulaney on Greene Street and attempted to apprehend him.

However, Dulaney purportedly delivered a high kick to one of the officers, prompting a physical altercation.

Fortunately, the officer emerged unharmed, and Dulaney was taken into custody on charges of battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and exposure of sexual organs.

As of Thursday morning, Dulaney remained in custody at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Key West jail facility without bond.
